For my own curiosity, and so I can learn from the community, I thought it would be interesting to run a poll. The older I am (Eve-wise) and the more I think I know, the more I realize how much has really come before me and how much I can still learn. Heh, that very easily applies to real life, as well, I suppose.
This thread prompted by seeing some older scam threads come up, and other topics that have really come about over time longer than IÆve been playing Eve. So with no more presupposition and excluding any further ado, my questions/comments. Answer or respond to as many or as few as you wish. Even scammers and idiots welcome in this thread.
1.What do you feel is the greatest thing about Eve?
2.What do you feel is the biggest problem with Eve?
3.Besides EBank, what failed venture/scam do you feel most strongly about? Why?
4.What has been the most successful venture in your mind?
5.Who is your favorite poster? (Try to pick someone other than yourself  )

8.If you could provide one change to Eve, what would it be? (Silly or otherwise :) )

Hmm... For question 5 and 7 it looks like Akita T might be winning the popularity vote here.

For myself:
1. What do you feel is the greatest thing about Eve?
Skill Training and Skill Q. There are many cool things about the game, but the skill training aspect hits the top simply because without it I'd be left out. I looked for an MMO where I wouldn't "fall behind" if I didn't have hours upon hours to spend grinding levels. And without the Q I wouldn't be able to play at all (or play and feel gimped).
2. What do you feel is the biggest problem with Eve?
I agree that CCP is to heavy handed with some changes, much too soft with others. With Eve itself, I'll say ventrillo being a requirement in 0.0. With my playstyle, I'll never make it out there.
3. What failed venture/scam do you feel most strongly about? Why?
Davramm and New Eden Trading, because I invested myself emotionally into pointing out his hypocrisy and scam/scheme. This was a negative and a positive, as it was at this point that I learned more about myself, forums, and people in general and am adjusting accordingly.
4. What has been the most successful venture in your mind?
I'm too young to say, I think.
5. Who is your favorite poster?
Akita T, level-headed, smart
Liberty Eternal, for the humor factor only 
6. Who is your least favorite poster?
Oh, there are so many. 
8. If you could provide one change to Eve, what would it be? (Silly or otherwise :) )
More ISK in my pocket.
9. If you could give only one piece of advice to a new Eve player, what would it be?
Don't make it a job. Do what you enjoy in Eve. If you are getting bored, do something different.
To an existing Eve player new to trade?
0.01 ISK can be good, and helpful, but it's not all there is to it, if you're doing it right.
10. Your one-line message to the MD community.
Don't throw away your morals, your integrity, your decency for a game, it's numbers, and it's forums.
11. Your one-line message to Eve as a whole. (Try to keep these clean guys. :) )
So long, and thanks for all the fish. Well, I guess that will be the line if/when I leave Eve.
